WorktreeView Privacy Policy

WorktreeView is a desktop application for reviewing code across Git worktrees, published by Peter Etelej (etelej.com) and distributed through the Microsoft Store. This policy describes how WorktreeView handles information.

Short version

WorktreeView is local-first. It does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, and no advertising.

Data processed on your device

• Repository content: WorktreeView reads the Git repositories you open, including the commit metadata they contain.
• Local review data: review state, comments, and snapshots are stored in a local database on your device.
• Nothing in the local review path leaves your device.

Network access

WorktreeView's local review path makes no network requests. The app has no backend servers.

Data sharing and retention

We do not share or sell your data. All app data stays on your device and is removed when you delete it or uninstall the application.

Children's privacy

WorktreeView is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

Updates to this policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
